By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Definitions

• "Company," "we," "our," or "us" refers to Smooth Drop Nigeria.
• "Customer" refers to any user requesting parcel delivery or rideshare services.
• "Driver" refers to any verified user offering rideshare or delivery services on our platform.
• "Platform" refers to the Smooth Drop app and website.

2. Services Offered

Smooth Drop provides ridesharing and parcel delivery services across Nigeria. Our platform enables customers to post tasks or requests, allowing drivers to bid for those tasks through a secure and competitive bidding system.

3. Registration and Verification

• All users must register and provide accurate, complete information.
• Drivers are required to pass mandatory identity verification, vehicle verification, and safety checks before their accounts are activated.
• We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or terminate any registration at our discretion.

4. Payments and Fees

• Payments can be made using Flutterwave, which supports various payment methods, including cards, mobile payments, and bank transfers.
• Cash on Delivery (COD) is available as an option for parcel deliveries or agreed rides.
• Fees include:
  • Base Fee: A fixed fee charged for each ride or delivery.
  • Per Kilometer Charge: Charges based on distance covered.
  • Late Fee: Applied if a driver arrives later than the scheduled time.
  • Idle Fee: Charged for waiting time beyond a set limit.
  • Cancellation Fee: Charged if a customer cancels after the driver has accepted the task.

5. Bidding System

Our app features a bidding system where customers can post delivery or ride requests, and drivers can place bids based on availability and pricing preferences.

6. Safety and Security

Safety is our top priority:

• All drivers are verified through a rigorous screening process.
• Location tracking is available for customers during rides or deliveries.
• Customers are encouraged to report any safety concerns through support@smoothdrop.com.ng.

7. User Responsibilities

• Users agree to maintain the confidentiality and security of their accounts.
• Any misuse of the platform, including fraudulent activities or abuse, will result in account suspension or termination.
• Customers must ensure accurate pickup and drop-off locations when booking services.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

• Customers can cancel their bookings, but cancellation fees may apply depending on the timing of the cancellation.
• Refunds are processed based on the cancellation policy and at our discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

Smooth Drop will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. However, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues arising from verified complaints.

10. Dispute Resolution

We encourage all disputes to be resolved amicably. If necessary, disputes may be escalated to arbitration or legal proceedings under Nigerian law.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and use your personal data.

12. Modification of Terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. Continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
